The code for the Vladivostok International Airport is VVO. There are many direct international flights serving this airport, the most useful ones for the PICES community are from the following cities (in order of flight frequency):
Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN)
Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT)
Pusan Airport (PUS)
Harbin Airport (HRB)
Beijing Airport (PEK)
Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG)
Hong Kong Airport (HKG)
Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX)
Among these, Seoul and Tokyo have the most flight options, primarily by Aeroflot, Siberian, Aurora and Korean Airlines. Japan and Asiana Airlines have codeshare flights but they are operated by their Russian partners. Please note that most of the individual airline schedules are not daily and their times may vary also, and not all Russian carriers have ticketing agreements with major North American carriers, and those that do may have specific booking conditions. Having more than one ticket (separate tickets for home-connecting city and connecting city-VVO) and layover nights in connecting cities may be necessary, so please allow more time for the actual journey.
